How We Grade Evidence

Every product we sell carries an evidence grade, and every benefit we describe is held to the same three-level scale. The grades are our own reading of the published research. They are not a certification or an FDA rating, and because we sell these products, we've tried to keep the criteria plain enough for you to check us.

The three grades

Strong. Replicated across multiple controlled trials in humans, at doses comparable to what's on our label.

Moderate. The direction of the evidence is consistent, but the evidence base is thinner: fewer trials, smaller studies, or mixed results on dose.

Emerging. Actively being studied. We flag it rather than claim it.

What we look at

  • Human trials over animal or lab studies
  • Controlled designs and, where possible, randomized ones
  • Whether results have been replicated by independent groups
  • Whether the dose in the studies matches the dose on our label
  • The specific claim: a grade applies to one benefit at one dose, not to an ingredient in general

What a grade is not

  • Not a promise of results. Responses vary from person to person.
  • Not medical advice. If you're pregnant, nursing, taking medication or managing a health condition, talk to your doctor before starting any supplement.
  • Not permanent. Research changes, and so will our grades.

Something we missed?

If you know of a study that should change a grade, email bleichentgrp@gmail.com. A real person reads every message.
